Where it fits
The Lotus Scorpion is a double-sided bar combining a blade strobe and a COB pixel bar, for concerts and DJ shows in clubs and on festival stages. It delivers strobe hits, pixel chases and blinder accents, usually set in lines along the truss or the stage front.
Setup
It clamps to truss or sits on the floor, taking DMX from the lighting console; long pixel lines can run through an Art-Net node such as the Madrix Luna-16. Our crew handles power, addressing and pixel programming.

How does it differ from the Chamaleon 1500?+
The Scorpion is a bar for pixel chases in lines. The Chamaleon 1500 is a hybrid strobe and blinder with 185° tilt, so it can be aimed.
Should the audience be warned about strobe?+
Yes, strobe can affect photosensitive people, and a notice at the entrance is common practice.
Do pixel effects need extra software?+
No, they are programmed on the console. Pixel mode uses more DMX channels, which we plan for in the patch.
